April plans
My husband treated us to Pancakes with Syrup this weekend. My two year old however informed me, "No Mummy, it's Syrut" and would not be persuaded otherwise. How has she got such strong opinions already?!
We had a lovely weekend, having friends over and meeting their new baby. We enjoyed the lovely weather, gave the house a bit of a spring clean, spent time at the park and the pool and generally lazed about. Just what a weekend should be.
Although I feel like I had waited forever for Spring I can't actually believe it is April already! Still, this year is not slipping away from me. Already I can tick many things off my list. But more on that another day.
We have big plans for the month ahead - an Easter camping trip by the coast. Hooray for blowing the cobwebs off the tent! We have seeds to plant and friends to see, recipes to try and embroidery to try! I have a tapestry to finish and just like the lovely Gillian, we have all the bits and pieces to try hot cross buns. However, unlike Gillian I have less organisation and very little kitchen in which to assemble them so this isn't a solemn promise of yeasty goodness, just a hope!
Last but not least, we have seen our builders for the last decision making session before a architect finalises plans for our house. We hope to submit them as soon as possible and hope to be finished by the end of October. So last but not least this month I shall finally unveil the monstrosity I live in for your hilarity/interest!
How was your weekend and what have you got planned for the month ahead?
*I am afraid I am short on pictures these days. I seem to be too busy with life to take many at the moment!

ReplyDeleteMy 3-yr-old has insisted on calling it "syrus" since she was your daughter's age. (: Pancakes and maple syrus is our Saturday morning ritual, and her favorite meal of the week.
