Human Kindness

I think I first heard this song as sung by Bette Midler in 'Beaches'. However the song was written by Randy Newman and has been covered numerous times over the years. I think this Norah Jones version is beautiful, somehow the tone of her voice lends itself perfectly to the lilting, uplifting yet slightly sorrowful song.

Lately I am struggling to tend to the day to day basics let alone fit in blogging, crafting, reading etc. I know this is a stage that will pass but my little family has been through an awful lot of change in the last year and the roller coaster has not finished yet! It is all positive but some of it time consuming, some of it exhausting and some of it simply unknown. All very cryptic I know! The reason I bring it up is that Human Kindness is most definitely over flowing in my life. I have family and friends who continue to nurture and encourage us through all of the trials and joys that we face. And I am very, very grateful. I hope I to can remember the rest of the words - 'help the needy and show them the way' - when I can be of assistance to others around me. After all, I do believe, what goes around comes around and I am definitely in debt!

  2. It is good and right that human kindness is overflowing in your life. Make the most of it and lap it up, for you have definitely shown an abundance of love and kindness to those around you. They are simply repaying the debt. xxx

  3. I love this song - I was actually singing it to my girls in the car the other day. Amazingly it shut them all up (for half a second!) Thanks for the Norah version and good luck with the roller coaster xx
