I fear the weather has washed away my blogging resolve somewhat. I have hardly any photos of the last week as the weather and the light have just been too miserable!
However, there has been some lovely indoor time this weekend. My maternal grandmothers 90th was a good excuse for a family knees up and mother, a fantastic cook, did us all proud. My daughter enjoyed helping to blow out/spit on the candles and a good time was had by all.
We did finally have a day of sunshine yesterday so we had friends round for tea and cake and a session on our small bouncy castle. Luckily, said friends helped to blow it up! No photos as strangely I don't think they would like their children plastered all over the Internet! between the bouncing, static and sugar it was toddler carnage. Perfect for enjoying the smallest glimmer of sun.
So May is upon us. I cannot believe how fast the year is passing and am determined to make some headway on personal plans and lists. We have finally got our planning application in and it feels like the misery of living in this house may just come to an end one day after all, (even if financing it gives my husband a stroke!). I have found that living somewhere that simply doesn't feel like a home is amazingly energy sapping. At least that is what I am blaming for my personal inertia these days!
So plans we have for May;
A wedding of a friend
Finish my tapestry
Plant seeds in the garden
Help set up a new playgroup
Move the small one into her 'new bedroom'
A small but hopefully achievable list - what have you got planned?
I am still working through my spring manifesto. But have to admit the gloomy weather has set me back somewhat
ReplyDeleteI like the word Manifesto - serious stuff!
DeleteYou've got lots to do! Sounds good. I'm working unfortunately nearly everyday as we're just so busy with planting. Hopefully in some sunshine rather than all this rain! x
ReplyDeleteI am hoping with you!
DeleteA nice mix of celebration, fresh air and gentle activity in your list. I am planning on getting our in the garden when this blooming rain stops. xxx
ReplyDeleteI bet your garden only needs a quick tidy - you should see mine!
