Whilst I was pregnant we got into the habit of asking our older daughter if we were having a boy or a girl (we wanted the surprise so did not find out at the scans) and what name the baby should have. Well, often it was predicted we would have a boy but nearly always we were told the baby was to be called Roast Rabbit. The rabbit part has stuck somewhat and I honestly think my eldest believes it is the baby's middle name. Perhaps it should have been.
She is also mostly what has been keeping me busy and away from blogland for so long. That is to say my pregnancy did. I really suffered with horrendous nausea and sickness for the first 22 weeks and that coupled with our building works meant it was all I could do to keep my toddler amused with cbeebies and low maintenance meals such as fish fingers! Said building works then saw us move out "for a week" when I was 36 weeks pregnant. We did not return until Rosalie was nearly four weeks old. But that is a whole other story for a whole other post!
Thank you for the comments you have left, it is so nice to talk to you all again!
Many many congratulations, she is a little beauty - and what a smile!

Deletecongratulations! your little one is only a few weeks older than my little one. they sure do turn your life upside down, don't they? pregnancy was no picnic for me, but it sounds like you had it worse. i'm so glad to be finished with all of that! i remember reading on gillian's blog that a good friend of hers had had a baby and i wondered if it was you :) i'm so glad you've re-entered the blogging world. i'm looking forward to more cute baby pics and an update on your house. i'm guessing it has changed a lot since you last wrote about it...
ReplyDeleteHi Cassie, I am so excited to see your little one is here too! I suspect she was talking about me. My children are very lucky to be given such lovely handmade things.
DeleteWhat a bonnie wee thing.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteSorry to read you had a rough time, but what a sweetie you got!! (It makes me sad my baby days are behind me seeing all these new little people popping up on folks blogs.)
ReplyDeleteOur youngest was named Shorthouse by the other children, and they still call him that from time to time, even though they are all ostensibly pretty much grown up!
Oh my goodness she is so scrummy!! Almost enough to make me broody...but 2 kids and a puppy are enough chaos for me. Thanks for commenting on my blog...I'll be opening an Etsy shop soon (chaos allowing!) so you'll be able to shop for my fabrics from the comfort of your own home. Rachel xx
ReplyDeleteJust found you through Jo at binds you to me - so hello from your newest follower! What a scrummy little bundle Rosalie is - and I love the name. Gorgeous! Looking forward to reading more x

ReplyDeleteoh she is so beautiful!!!! Congratulations! I was almost broody again and then you reminded me all about morning (all day, all night) sickness! xx
ReplyDeleteShe is really beautiful! Dimples! Well done you on making such a gorgeous little person. I'm 31 weeks and wondering how I can still have another 9 or 10 weeks left... I'm pretty huge and soooo tired all the time. But then I guess that's not gonna change for a while yet. Like a year or two. X
