Since our baby arrived we have stayed with two sets of relatives or been living in one room of our house. There has been little opportunity to just 'be' together. This is not a complaint, just a simple statement of fact, life has not been easy or relaxed. So a couple of weeks ago we took three whole days, as a family, on holiday. Perfect!
- We stayed in a fantastic child friendly pub
- Took a stroll through an Arboretum
- Ate. A lot
- Walked, played, flew a kite on the dunes at Wells Next the Sea
- Built fires
- Read magazines in bed together
- But most of all, enjoyed each other
What a perfect little getaway! Gorgeous photos. Look at her smiling there - such a precious age :-D Mel x
ReplyDeleteThanks Mel, we had a great time!
DeleteLove beaches the best when it's cold and there's no one else there! Although I do always get earache at the beach when it's cold and windy... Anyway! Looks like a lovely few days, glad you got a chance to spend time alone as a family. I know it's hard staying with relatives for a while even when you've got the best family you could hope for. You don't have to admit to that here, we'll just take it as fact... ;) X
ReplyDeleteThanks Anna, the beach was perfect, it was what I was actually looking forward to the most.
DeleteSo glad you were able to get away as a family! Awww the beach photos are so lovely! We are headed back to the beach the end of May and I cannot wait!!!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to reading about your getaway!
Deletewhat a lovely time you must have had! it looks wonderful. i've been dreaming of camping trips to the beach this summer. maybe we shouldn't wait until the summer...
ReplyDeleteDon't wait, just take extra duvets. We went at Easter last year! We are trying to work out how we can go camping now the little has arrived as we need a bigger car!
Deletealso, tell me about your husband's bear hoodie! so cute! is it a costume or a regular hoodie?
ReplyDeleteTragically Cassie, it is no costume! He bought it from a chinese supplier and loves it!
DeleteSounds and looks like the perfect getaway, so glad you all had a good time, love the wellies and sandy ripples shot, but I'm also curious about your husband's hoodie, it looks very cosy!
ReplyDeleteThanks Suzie, that is my favourite photo too. He loves the hoodie, even if he looks a bit mental at his age wearing it!
DeleteEven on your phone you take a good photo - it's not fair! That shot of small feet on the sand is really nice. I'm glad you had some family time, you all deserve it. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks petal xxxx
DeleteThat last photo I think tells how much all of you enjoyed your little break away. I hope you get to spend some more times like this together again it's so nice to have fun together as a family. x
